About us

Since 1999, our team is committed to the development of industry ready systems at lower cost for defense and communication applications.

Our group is headed by Prof. Nidhi S. Bhattacharyya and co-advised by Prof. Satyajib Bhattacharyya from the department of ECE, Tezpur University. We accentuate development of low-profile, flexible electromagnetic shielding materials and compact, reconfigurable antenna systems. Lately, our group has embarked successfully into development and application of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles for aerial imaging. Our product oriented research encompasses a broad range of domains including RCS lowering in C, X, and Ku-bands with meta structure-based absorbers, cloaking, beam forming and phased array antenna systems, 2D metasurface lens antenna, Intelligent surfaces, SAR analysis for body-worn applications. The laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities such as microwave network analysers ranging up to 40GHz, radiation pattern measuring systems, SAR measuring systems, Additive manufacturing technology, Free space setup, RF digester, well equipped Microwave material manufacturing and characterization unit.

Our Team

Head

Prof. Nidhi S. Bhattacharyya is a Professor of Physics at Tezpur University, Assam, specializing in microwave devices and materials. Since the completion of her Ph.D. from Jamia Millia Islamia in 1998, she has been actively engaged in research and teaching. Her interests lie in microstrip antennas, engineered substrates, electromagnetic shielding materials, and metamaterials. Prof. Bhattacharyya has authored numerous publications in prestigious journals and conferences, reflecting her expertise in the field. She has also successfully led projects funded by government agencies extending contribution to diverse fields ranging from healthcare sensing to UAV based agro-tech systems.

Co-head

Prof. Satyajib Bhattacharyya is a Professor of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Tezpur University. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Delhi in 1999 in the field of microwave antennas. With extensive expertise in areas such as microstrip antennas, antenna arrays and instrumentation, he is dedicatedly fostering innovation and excellence in engineering education and research. Prof. Bhattacharyya has contributed significantly to the field of communication systems by publishing numerous research articles in prestigious journals. He has successfully led several governments funded projects in multiple areas.
